Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a high calibre Consultant Paediatrician/Named Doctor for Safeguarding Children.

The post-holder will deliver 3 Named Doctor sessions plus 1 clinical session supporting the Trust Safeguarding team, working alongside the existing safeguarding medical team in accordance with the Intercollegiate Document, Safeguarding Children and Young People: Roles and Competences for Health Care Staff, 2010, published by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

In addition the post-holder will provide 3 outpatient sessions as part of the overall Paediatric team, at least 1 of which will deliver General Paediatric capacity, the remaining 2 could be within a complementary Paediatric sub-specialism.

Applicants should hold GMC Specialist Registration or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC. There will also be a requirement to undertake Consultant of the Week and on call duties covering the General Paediatric service.

The On Call commitment includes General Paediatrics.
