Currently, we are recruiting for several Aboriginal Medical Services in Western Australia, Queensland and Canberra 

  • Very attractive remuneration package around $280,000
  • 6 weeks paid annual leave
  • 2 weeks paid study leave
  • Monday – Friday 8.30 – 16.30
  • No after hours or weekends
  • DWS location
  • 457 visa sponsorship available

The positions in Western Australia offer a full furnished house and a car on top of your salary.

The Health Service offers a range of clinical services and programs including:

  • General Practitioners
  • Practice Nurses
  • Aboriginal Health Workers 
  • Social and emotional health services – social and emotional wellbeing, substance misuse counselling, Bringing Them Home counselling, child and adolescent mental health, health support, carer support, a needle syringe program, transport service, a home maintenance program, Youth diversion program, tobacco cessation services, healthy lifestyle advice and support, and exercise programs.
  • Dental services
  • Otitis Media Program and audiologist
  • Aboriginal Midwifery Access Program
  • Chronic Disease and the Patient Incentive Program
  • Outreach for Aboriginal people in custody (Bimberi Youth Justice Centre and the Alexander Maconochie Centre);
  • Allied Health Services – Podiatrist, Dietician, Psychiatrists, and Physiotherapist
  • Medical Student Education Program – ANU and The Canberra Hospital

Essential Requirement: 

In order to be eligible for this position, overseas trained doctors are required to hold post graduate qualifications in General Practice i.e. MRCGP, MICGP, FRACGP, FRNZCGP or CCFP.
General Practitioners who have one of these post graduate qualifications are eligible to apply for mutual recognition with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
