Consultant Surgeon with a special interest in Colorectal & Peritoneal Oncology

Applications are invited for a Consultant Surgical post in The Colorectal and Peritoneal Oncology Centre. This is a new post to support the team in treating Colorectal, Peritoneal and Pelvic Malignancies.
You will be part of a team of seven Colorectal Consultants within the Surgical directorate at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. You will work alongside Urologists, Gynaecologists and Oncoplastic Surgeons as part of a multi-specialty approach to pelvic malignancies. The Christie Hospital is the largest single site cancer hospital in Europe and serves a population of 3.2 million in the North West of England.
The Trust comprises the Hospital (a designated teaching Hospital of the University of Manchester), the Paterson Institute for Cancer Research and North Western Medical Physics. The recently completed Manchester Cancer Research Centre is a partnership between The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Cancer Research UK, and The University of Manchester.
The Trust is also partners with the Manchester Academic Health Science Collaborative (MAHSC) with excellent facilities to support an academic programme including clinical and laboratory research.
You must be a registered medical practitioner and will be on, or eligible to join, the specialist register within six months of the date of the Appointment.
