Applications are invited for this 10PA full time post in Cardiothoracic imaging based in the Department of Radiology at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KCHFT).

King’s College Hospital NHS Trust is one of the largest and busiest in London, with a well-established national and international reputation for clinical excellence, innovation and achievement. The hospital not only serves a diverse, multi-ethnic local population but operates as one of the four major trauma centres within the capital, a major trauma centre for Kent and as a tertiary services centre for neuroscience (including stroke), haematological oncology, cardiac / cardio-thoracic (including PAMI), cystic fibrosis, and hepatobiliary (including liver transplantation) patients.

The activities and development of the Imaging Services reflect those of the Hospital as a whole with integration of both undergraduate and postgraduate training with the service commitments to the institution. Following a Trust wide organisational change in January 2017, the General, Neuro, Breast and Dental Radiology services have come together and are now part of the Critical Care, Radiology and MEP Care Group, which is within the directorate of Networked Care.

This is a replacement Consultant post to support the clinical imaging services with special interest in Cardiothoracic imaging. A specialist interest in haemato oncology would be an advantage. The remit of the postholder will be to work within the multi–disciplinary team providing and further developing imaging for patients  from all services, and to provide and develop cardiothoracic imaging and non vascular thoracic intervention services to King’s NHSFT’s  patients. In addition, the individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the imaging departments while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and associated professional groups. The postholder would be expected to participate in delivery of out of hours acute care pathway at Denmark Hill site.

Interested applicants are invited to discuss the post with Nicola Mulholland (Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Lead) via email: nicolamulholland@nhs.net  and/or Prof Paul Sidhu, Clinical Director paulsidhu@nhs.net

The interviews will be on 10th or 11th August 2017
