Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Rheumatology at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.

The Rheumatology Department at the Royal Cornwall Hospital has a dynamic team of consultants interested in research and post graduate training. This post is a replacement of one of four substantive consultant posts within the Rheumatology Specialty.

The Department currently provides services for a local population of approximately 450,000 at locations across the county, these com-promises of 11,000 outpatient attendances and 1500 intravenous in-fusions attendances.

The Department provides high quality service to patients which has been recognised by a national award from the main rheumatoid charity NRAS. 

The Rheumatology Department is actively involved in Clinical Trials and well established research links with University of Exeter Medical School.
We will support you to actively participate in your continuing professional development activity. We have a wide range of internal learning opportunities here at Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust. For new consultants the job plan for this post will include 2.5 SPAs for the first year
