We are looking for dynamic and interested doctors to work as Specialty Doctor in our Emergency Department.

What can you give us?

Commitment, flexibility, enthusiasm, clinical skills and acumen, team player, educator.

What can we give you?

Working as part of our team in a busy medium-sized Emergency Department, you will experience the entire range of the Emergency Department case mix.  We see everything including  Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine, Surgical Emergencies, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology and ENT.  We see major trauma and participate in the Acute Stroke and Primary PCI network.

You will have a bespoke job plan and one supporting programmed activity (SPA) per week.

You will be supported should you wish to take the CESR route to progress to consultant status.  The department is unique in having a consultant colleague who has already successfully taken this route and knows the process intimately. Secondments in Intensive Care and Acute Medicine will be facilitated.

We have created  a bespoke recruitment offer which includes the ability to develop a special interest area,  individual development opportunities with an allocated study leave budget and a Recruitment and Retention Premia.

Our new Recruitment and Retention Premia means that individuals choosing to come to East Cheshire NHS Trust in the role of Specialty Doctor will benefit from an additional £21,215 payable over 2 years in three instalments, paid on commencement and completion of years one and two. These premia are in addition to the Trust’s relocation package of up to £8,000.

Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including a licence to practice.

These posts are offered on a full-time basis; however, the Trust welcomes discussion with individuals looking for a more flexible working pattern to support a different work-life balance.
