At East London NHS Foundation Trust, we have a focus on improving the experience of patients, carers and our staff. In 2015 we acquired mental health services in Luton and Bedfordshire.
We’ve developed a special quality improvement programme that provides our clinical staff, patients and carers with skills to transform our services; we believe that our staff are the organisation’s greatest asset and are the best agents for change. In 2016 we were graded as Outstanding by the CQC, Provider of the Year 2016, as well as being rated as the best place to work in mental health by the Health Service Journal.
We are seeking a candidate who will provide strong clinical leadership to the team. You’ll be the Lead for Child Health Promotion and will join two Consultant colleagues, Dr Fayrus Abusrewil, Clinical lead for Paediatrics and lead for ASD services, and Dr Michelle Heys, Consultant Paediatrician / Clinical Academic Senior Lecturer at University College London & Institute of Child Health.
Wide experience in the clinical and medical approaches to children in the community is essential and the you will be expected to provide consultant input into the child development and neurodisability services. The appointee will have the opportunity for honorary contract status with St Bartholomew’s and Royal London School of Medicine depending on their academic achievements.
You’ll be encouraged and supported to actively participate in Quality Improvement which is a cornerstone of how we are continuing to improve the standard of care we provide to our patients.
Applications will be welcomed from candidates included on or eligible for the Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining the CST in Paediatrics.
We appreciate every application that we receive but regret that we are unable to advise every candidate if they have not been shortlisted. If you have not heard from us within three weeks of the closing date then it is probably the case that you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.
