Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon - Lower Limb
Applications are invited for a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specific interest in Lower Limb, both trauma and elective. The job plan includes a weekly elective operating list, weekly trauma list, Fracture clinic and Orthopaedic clinics. The consultant will take part on the consultant on call rota. The position will be based at West Herts NHS Trust (Watford General Hospital, Hemel Hempstead General Hospital and St. Albans City Hospital). Applicants will be expected to provide a full range of surgery for Lower Limb and it is essential that the applicant has successfully completed fellowship training in Hip and Knee Surgery.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust was formed by the amalgamation of Watford, St Albans & Hemel Hempstead Hospitals Trust on 1 April 2000. The Trust provides health services for approximately 650,000 people who live in the five local authority areas of Dacorum, Hertsmere, St Albans, Three Rivers and Watford. Overall the population is relatively affluent, but there are pockets of health inequalities, particularly among people living in the South West of the county.
