Are you about to receive your CCT but don’t feel ready for commitment to a practice? Want to develop your skills further? Been qualified for some time and want to develop a specific skill?

We are offering exciting opportunities for newly qualified and experienced GPs to:

  • Develop skills in primary care and to develop skills in areas such a Leadership and Clinical Commissioning with NHS Great Yarmouth and Waveney CCG or Academic skills with the University of East Anglia (UEA)
  • Take relevant study in a chosen specialist area
  • Gain a relevant qualification if desired

We work in beautiful part of the world, where a good standard of living is possible, with ease of access to London, where opportunities exist to develop professionally and to explore new ways of working. The sea, countryside and the Norfolk broads are all close.

Full or Part-time contracts, initially for one year but could be extended subject to successful progression.

Salary negotiable plus MDU/MPS and Superannuation; working within Great Yarmouth and Waveney CCG or with UEA. Educational support for professional development will be provided on a weekly basis and you will have the opportunity to study for a relevant qualification with funding available to help meet course costs.

Successful applicants will work 6-7 sessions a week in Primary Care (or part-time), building on experience and widening their knowledge base, 2 sessions a week in education; flexibly tailored to the needs of the successful applicant.

Contracts will be reviewed with the providers near the end of the fellowship period with a view to continuing employment/partnership in the locality.
