One such service is the Oculoplastics unit at the Royal Eye Hospital. This role will provide you with advanced sub-specialty training and give the opportunity to acquire skills appropriate to Consultant Ophthalmologists.
Two positions will commence from February 2018 and one from August 2018 these 12 month Fellowships will allow you to work with 5 Consultant Oculoplastic Surgeons in this major tertiary referral centre, with access to max fax, head and neck, ENT and neurosurgery input. This post has educational recognition from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
To be considered, you’ll need full registration and a licence to practice with the GMC. We’ll also be looking for excellent team working and communication skills and a well-organised approach. Experience of audit is also essential, and if you can evidence academic achievements such as distinctions, prizes or published research/articles, even better.
Please note that this post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean, but training will be provided in the same way as for other trainees at the same level.
