Clinical Skills and Anatomy Clinical Teaching Fellow

We are looking for an enthusiastic doctor with an interest in education and a passion for teaching to fill a one year post as a Teaching Fellow in Clinical Skills and Anatomy. This is a career development posts at FY2/ST level to help teach the next generation of doctors, develop the curriculum and enhance your own teaching skills. Barts and the London has a long history of innovation and excellence in Clinical Skills teaching, learning and assessment and within this role we will expect you to continue in this tradition. You will receive training in teaching from a team of enthusiastic clinicians and educators and, as part of the post, you will work towards a nationally recognised certificate in teaching and learning. 

You will also be given the opportunity to develop your own clinical skills with supervised clinical work and training within Barts Health NHS Trust and you will receive support when applying for clinical posts in a year’s time. This post provides a productive and interesting year and be well prepared to dive back into the hurly burly of clinical medicine.

These posts are full time career development post and fixed term for one year. Starting salary will be in the range (depending on experience) of £31,931 – £38,582 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and NHS/USS pension schemes.

This post sits within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE), Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD. The SMD is a leading medical and dental school that offers international levels of excellence in research and teaching as well as providing clinical services for a population of unrivalled ethnic diversity in east London and the wider Thames Gateway.
