Applications are invited for these substantive posts based within the CAMHS Clinical Services Unit. Both posts attract 6 PAs
Post 1 is based at the Pendleton Gateway, Salford CAMHS which serves a resident urban population of approximately 260,000, with high levels of social deprivation. This post is well supported by the Department. There is a range of initiatives (including ADHD assessment pathways, Parenting Groups, family therapy, parent child game, and liaison work).
Post 2 is based at the Carol Kendrick Centre, South Manchester CAMHS which serves a resident urban population of approximately 169,500, from a wide range of social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, with high levels of social deprivation in many parts of the district, but also some affluent areas. The post is well supported by the Department. There are a range of initiatives (including the Social Communication Assessment and Intervention Team (SCAIT), ADHD assessment pathways, Parenting Groups, Family Therapy, Parent Child Game, Video Interactive Guidance, and liaison work). 2+1 Assessment models and specific care pathways are being introduced.
The CAMHS Directorate/CSU provides Tier 3 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in four urban localities (North, Central, South Manchester and Salford), an inpatient unit (Galaxy House) a small Tier 4 specialist outpatient Social Communication Clinic, and liaison mental health for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The directorate also hosts National Deaf CAMHS and a small Chronic Fatigue Service. This is a new community service developed as part of the Transformation Plans for Manchester and Salford
