Consultant In Colorectal Surgery
Applications are invited for 3 substantive Consultant posts in Colorectal Surgery (2 posts) and Upper GI Surgery (1 post), each with an interest in emergency general surgery, based at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge.
The successful candidates will join a current team of 14 GI surgeons providing both elective specialist GI surgery and emergency general surgery, including being a regional Major Trauma Centre. Together with supporting the elective activities of the Departments, the appointees will play a key role in the development and delivery of ambulatory and short stay surgical care within the Digestive Diseases directorate.
Addenbrooke’s is the teaching hospital for the University of Cambridge and is a flagship NHS hospital having achieved NHS Foundation Trust status in July 2004. It has strong international links particularly through the University and it is a World-Class centre for medical research.
Applicants should be fully registered with the GMC and have a CCT in General Surgery or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview.
You must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).
