Clinical Director – Cellular Pathology
Liverpool Clinical Laboratories (LCL) is the largest pathology service provider in Cheshire and Merseyside. We formed from the amalgamation of the pathology clinical services and laboratories of the Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust. We work primarily on the diagnosis of disease but also evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and undertake research into the causes and cures of disease, processing over 5 million sample tests each year.
With over 500 highly trained Consultants, scientists and laboratory assistants we cover three main disciplines – Cellular Pathology, Blood Sciences and Infection and Immunity. Our aim is to be a national centre for
excellence in clinical diagnostic and investigations services. We are a collaborative and ambitious organisation at the forefront of research and preparing for our move next year into new state of the art facilities on the new Royal Liverpool Hospital site.
At this exciting time of change in the NHS and our development, we are seeking a Clinical Director to provide leadership to the Cellular Pathology division and our wider organisation. We are seeking an experienced
leader who can inspire our dedicated teams, ensure we provide the highest quality and most efficient services to our patients whilst continuing to push the boundaries of research, innovation and the use of digital technology.
Building strong relationships internally and externally you will offer strong vision, energy and a commitment to our journey of development.
