The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant in Cardiology with a special interest in structural heart and coronary artery intervention.
This a replacement post; it is a whole-time Consultant in Cardiology with a special interest in structural heart and coronary artery intervention.
The appointee will participate in and lead ward rounds, out-patient clinics, cardiac catheter lab diagnostic and interventional sessions, and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and the on-call rota for coronary and/or structural intervention. The appointee will provide innovation and leadership in the further development of the structural interventional programme.
The appointee will be responsible for provision of care, at consultant level, to cardiology inpatients, outpatients, and patients undergoing interventional procedures, including pre-procedural evaluation and post procedural care.
Applicants are required to be fully registered Medical Practitioners and must be on the GMC’s Specialist Register and should have specialist registration in cardiology, or within six months of award of CCT or equivalent by date of interview.
