Consultant Haematologist (Haemoglobinopathy)
This is a replacement Consultant post in the Clinical Haematology Department at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The department of Clinical Haematology is part of the Division of Specialist Medical Services and the directorate of Haematology and Gastroenterology. Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust has a large accident and emergency department and most medical and surgical specialities are available on site.
You will be the Lead Consultant in Haemoglobinopathy and is to start in August 2017. You will work closely with Dr Kate Ryan who specialises in haemoglobinopathy. You will also work closely with the general haematology/laboratory team (Dr Rachel Brown, Dr Sarah Burns, Dr Paddy Carrington, Dr John Burthem, Dr Chiara Lobetti).
This is a 10 PA job plan. Any Consultant who is unable for personal reasons, to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust.
