As a progressive NHS Trust we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic Consultant Paediatrician to complement and work as part of our integrated Community Paediatric Medical team to be the Named Doctor for the Looked After Children’s service, contribute to the Southampton adoption service, deliver outpatient neurodevelopment clinics and actively participate in child protection work through a duty rota.

The post is part time, working a minimum of 7Pas per week. At Solent NHS Trust, we are committed to putting patient care first the team works across Southampton city, South West Hampshire and have links with the service in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire.

You will be joining us at an important time in our development, as we are committed to the delivery of the transformation programme which sets out the vision for integrated services with key partners across a number of partner organisations including multi-disciplinary meetings with our GPs and acute Paediatrics in Southampton city cluster hubs.

This exciting role requires anindividual with s trong clinical leadership, LAC/Adoption skills and a passion for working with children and families. You will be responsible for the statutory requirements of the Named Doctor role, supported by the Named Nurse and a medical and nursing team. Increasingly as part of the wider systems agenda we are looking to integrate our services with local authorities and wider health partners.
