Bedford East Community Mental Health Team
We are a financially stable progressive mental health and community services trust with very strong clinical leadership at all levels of the organisation.
The trust has a focus on improving the experience of patients, carers and our staff. For the last two years we have been developing a special quality improvement programme that provides our clinical staff, patients and carers with skills to transform our services. We believe that our staff are the organisation’s greatest asset and are the best agents for change.
We were graded as Outstanding by the CQC in September 2016 and as Provider of the Year 2016, as well as being rated as the best place to work in mental health by the Health Service Journal. In 2015 we acquired mental health services in Luton and Bedfordshire.
You will support the multidisciplinary team in the assessment, treatment and management of patients with mental disorders as envisaged in NICE Guidelines. The two CMHTs in Bedford cover a borough population of approximately 103,000 and works with several GP practices. Three of the local GP practices also have Primary Care Liaison nurses who work with patients presenting with common mental health disorders.
