Fetal Medicine Consultant
The Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a substantive Fetal Medicine Consultant.
This job will consist of 10 Programmed Activities weekly. The delivery suite component may be required to be part of an annualised contract. The job plan includes a 1 in 10 commitment to the obstetric on call rota with a full complement of junior staff in the hospital.
The post is to further develop the team of interventional fetal medicine and therapy consultants and the post holder will be expected to have completed RCOG subspecialty training or equivalent and have the desire to develop skills in fetal therapy (in-utero transfusion and fetoscopy).
The post holder must possess Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) (or equivalent), be on the GMC specialist register, and have CCT in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (or international equivalent) and completed subspecialty training in Maternal & Fetal Medicine. Full registration with the GMC is essential. The Advanced Labour Ward Practice (or equivalent experience) is also required.
