Clinical Surgical Research Fellowship 

We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic clinician-researcher interested in translational research to take up the position of residential medical officer (RMO) / clinical research fellow at the Royal Free Hospital and Royal Free Campus of University College London. World class academic and research training opportunities are available across surgical specialties at the site, the precise field of research can be negotiated by the successful applicant with our established research teams. Opportunities exist in the following fields of research.

  • Arterio-Venous Malformations, Venous or Lymphatic Disease
  • Peripheral Vascular Disease including Diabetic Foot
  • Colo-Rectal Cancer
  • Peri-Operative Care
  • Biomaterial Engineering of Vascular Stents and Grafts

Applications are invited to this post providing protected and supported research time within the facilities of the Division of Surgery and Interventional Sciences. The associated clinical duties are as RMO to the Private Practice Unit at the Royal Free Hospital providing care on a 1 in 6 basis to a complex mix of private patients, both medical and surgical.

Previous RMO/CRF candidates have successfully used this opportunity to pursue MD or PhD degrees form UCL.

Successful candidate would be expected to start from August 1st 2017. Fixed term contract for 1 year which can be renewable following review.
