Scottish Graduate Entry MBChB programme (ScotGEM) Year 1 Lead
The School of Medicine is launching a new graduate entry, four-year, MBChB programme (ScotGEM), backed by the Scottish Government and run in partnership with the University of Dundee, UHI and NHS Boards. The School of Medicine is looking to recruit a lecturer to be the Year 1 Lead.
Working closely with the ScotGEM Programme Director, manager and Board, the post holder will lead on delivery of Year 1 of the MBChB. Primarily based in St Andrews, there will be some requirement for travel to Dundee and occasionally to other areas of Scotland.
The successful applicant will have substantial experience of teaching medicine or another healthcare discipline and be able to demonstrate understanding of the clinical relevance of teaching a Primary Medical Qualification (PMQ). The successful applicant will also have a passion to develop and successfully deliver the innovative ScotGEM curriculum. In part this lecturer post will be defined by the skills and qualifications of the successful candidate. It is expected that the post will be of interest to existing Schools of Medicine staff and potentially also to experienced clinicians in both Primary and Secondary Medicine.
