The Gynaecology Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Gilbert Bain Hospital in Shetland would like to invite candidates to apply for a Gynaecology Consultant role. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the North region of Scotland delivering Gynaecology Services.
The majority of the clinical time is within the Gynaecology service in Aberdeen but the post is designed to allow one week in four to be delivered in Shetland to fulfil overall service needs.
The Service in Aberdeen is the designated tertiary referral unit for the North East of Scotland and provides a full range of Gynaecological services. The unit has responsibility for approximately 9000 Gynaecology admissions per annum. Successful candidates will join a strong team of 23 Consultant Obstetricians, Gynaecologists and Professorial staff.
You will be fully supported by a thriving and friendly department and will be encouraged to take forward service and academic development.

Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of interview or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR). Essential qualifications for this post include MRCOG or equivalent.
