Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in cross-sectional imaging
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in cross-sectional body imaging.
The post holder will have sessional commitments at both the University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital Llandough in Cardiff. These will be comprised of cross sectional/body as well as general radiology sessions. The post provides an exciting opportunity to further develop the existing cross-sectional service across the Health Board.
The post holder will join a team of radiology Consultants to share in the provision of imaging services in support of primary, secondary and tertiary care across a range of specialties. The post holder will also share in the responsibilities for delivering general and specialist training and medical education both at a postgraduate and undergraduate level within the Health Board and within Cardiff University.
The post holders currently participate in a 1 in 12 on-call service for body/general radiology within Cardiff and Vale UHB. There is a separate 1 in 7 on call service which covers orthopaedic radiology and a separate neuroradiology on-call rota.
Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
