Speciality Doctor Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit
Applications are invited for the role of Speciality Doctor post within the North of Scotland Regional Inpatient Unit hosted in NHS Tayside, applications for both full and part-time working will be considered.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the ongoing development of a new 12 bedded inpatient unit in Dundee. The unit has been commissioned by 5 health boards across the North of Scotland (Tayside, Grampian, Highland, Shetland and Orkney).
The young people’s unit provides a comprehensive mental health as-sessment and treatment service for young people from 12 years up to 18 years. The service operates with a multidisciplinary, multi-agency ethos and has strong links with the local authorities and the voluntary sector. The CAMHS inpatient and North of Scotland CAMHS Tier 4 Network is a dynamic, forward looking service with strong links to the University of Dundee, with an active interest in teaching and research. There is a strong drive for quality, local and equitable care across the Network with the young people’s unit as the hub.
The successful applicant will be supported to attend training available for psychiatric trainees and develop their skills within inpatient and child and adolescent mental health care.
Applicants must have full GMC registration. Experience in psychiatry would be desirable, but full training will be given to the successful applicant depending on their needs.
