Consultant in Ophthalmology
The Manchester Royal Eye Hospital is an internationally recognised Centre of Excellence, particularly in the field of Vitreoretinal Surgery. The Hospital is looking to appoint a substantive Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in Vitreoretinal Surgery.
The Consultant will join the existing team of six vitreoretinal consultants and will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and aftercare of ophthalmic patients. The consultant will provide a sub-specialty interest in Vitreoretinal Surgery. They will perform vitreoretinal surgery at both Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and also at Rochdale Infirmary. They will also take part in the provision of urgent vitreoretinal surgery by an on call rota.
Applicants should have Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthal-mologists or equivalent. This is a 10 PA consultant contract.
