Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine
The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine. The Paediatric Respiratory team provides a service to the children of Bristol, South Gloucestershire & North Somerset and a specialised service for children across the South West of England with some supra-regional referrals.
The services provided by the team include respiratory/asthma, cystic fibrosis, allergy, adolescent respiratory, airway/drooling, primary ciliary dyskinesia, sleep diagnostic and home ventilation clinics. Referrals are accepted from local general practitioners and from hospitals throughout the South West region for investigation and management of complex respiratory disorders.
The appointee will join at an exciting time as the Respiratory Team are an integral part of BRHC liaising and providing support internally in particular to paediatric intensive care, cardiology/cardiac surgery, haematology/oncology, renal medicine, endocrinology and gastroenterology. Applicants must have completed a minimum of 24 months of training in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine.
