Consultant in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery
The appointee will be expected to work closely with the 7 Upper limb surgeons and the wider Orthopaedic team to support and develop both elective and emergency orthopaedic surgery. S/he will provide a fully comprehensive shoulder service and also contribute to the elbow and hand surgery service (especially trauma). The post holder will work with colleagues to provide services across the county including outpatient clinics and emergency referrals. Trauma Surgery will be carried out Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
Joining a wider community of 26 T & O surgeons in Gloucestershire, the appointee should be an exceptional surgeon with a broad general training in trauma/orthopaedic surgery and specialist recognised training in Upper Limb Surgery as above. The post will include 1:12 on call for trauma. For further details please refer to the indicative job plan.
