Specialty Registrar LAT/LAS (ST1-ST3 Level) from 2nd August for 1 year
Clinical Fellow (STR equivalent grade ST1-ST3 level) from 2nd August for 6 months in the first instance
The above posts are available from 2 August 2017 LAT/LAS STR post is available for one year, the Clinical Fellow post (equivalent STR1 – STR3) is available until 30 January 2018, with a view to a possible extension.
The appointees will gain supervised exposure to elective orthopaedic and trauma surgery and clinics, they will be offered the opportunity to develop an audit/research project supported by the Institute of Motion Analysis and Research in Dundee University.
NHS Tayside T&O Service is delivered from 3 main Hospitals; Ninewells (a Level 2 Trauma Centre in Dundee), Perth Royal Infirmary and Stracathro Hospital (Brechin). All 3 Hospitals are affiliated with the University of Dundee Medical School.
The appointees will be based in one of the 3 centres but must be able to work flexibly between sites as the on-call duties on the trauma rota are based at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.
The Specialty Registrar LAT post is approved for training by the Postgraduate Dean.
