We are looking for three dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant Vascular Surgeons, to join the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board’s North Wales Vascular Network.
We are now developing, in accordance with National Guidance, a Tertiary Hub and Spoke Vascular Service to serve the public of North Wales. The Tertiary Unit for major arterial surgery (circa 300 per annum) will be centred at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire. As an integral part of this development the Health Board is supporting the commissioning of a Hybrid Theatre (to include Interventional Radiology facilities) at this hospital.
The North Wales Vascular Network provides services to a population of approximately 700,000 residents. After the establishment of the Hub; Spoke services will be provided at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor and Ysbyty Maelor, Wrexham. The Health Board employs approximately 16,000 staff and has a budget of £1.4 billion.
In conjunction with our existing Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists and hard working, highly motivated team of medical and nursing staff, the successful appointees will provide a high quality, modern service in a rapidly developing unit.

NHS Wales Medical and Dental Conditions of Service. The contract will be offered on a 10 session basis pending job planning discussions. Under the National Consultant Contract in Wales up to three SPA sessions can be granted.
