Care of Elderly Medicine Consultant

Full-time Locum Consultant Post in Care of the Elderly for Acute Care of older People and Acute medical on call duties.

The post is within the acute Care of Older people (COOP) service, providing consultant cover to one of the COOP wards and will also contribute to the acute medical take on a 1 in 17 basis.

The Care of the Elderly department is a dynamic department and has seen several changes as delivery of health care to older people is evolving. They are actively involved in developing community services in the local boroughs and in the Acute Medical Admissions Unit and Ambulatory care.

Hospital Requirements:

Full registration with the GMC and acceptance on the GMC Specialist Register are required and you should hold a CCT in Geriatric Medicine and in General internal medicine, or be within six months of obtaining this by the time of interview.
