This is a unique opportunity for highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic pathologists.

Sidra Medical and Research Center, a newly built, ultra-modern clinical and research facility in Qatar, is looking for a consultants in Anatomical / Surgical / Cytopathology to join its team in 2017 or 2018.

Sidra’s inpatient facility will open in the first quarter of 2018: its mission is to provide world class maternity care for between 6,000 and 10,000 deliveries per year, as well as full service pediatric subspecialty care for the children of Qatar.

The Department of Pathology at Sidra consists of Anatomical Pathology, Hematopathology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pathology Genetics, and Pathology Sciences. As with all the divisions, Anatomical Pathology supports both routine and complex maternal and perinatal care, as well as routine and complex pediatric medicine and surgery, and investigations for infertility. The Division Chief of Anatomical Pathology is Dr. Adrian Charles, and the Department Chair is Dr. Rusung Tan. 

Sidra is searching for a pathologist with both surgical pathology and cytopathology training. S/he should have a medical degree and appropriate FRCPath (UK) certification or equivalent qualification from the United States, Canada or Australia. The ideal candidate will have experience in gynaecologic pathology and cytopathology. The goal is to support the non-oncological care of women patients at Sidra, and to develop a cytopathology service.
