The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a dynamic Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join our existing team. In particular we are looking for applicants who wish to develop in specific areas, with SPA time allocated for education, service improvement, governance and audit.
Applicants who are aspiring to take on future leadership roles will be welcomed as there are potential future opportunities within Manchester. The department has close links with Central Manchester Teaching Hospitals as well as Salford Royal Hospitals.
The Department is within the Division of Medicine, and serves the population of North Manchester and surrounding areas. The Trust provides a service from the North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) with referrals received from the community teams, GPs and hospital consultant colleagues.
During 2015/16 the Emergency Department at NMGH saw over 99,100 patients including over 27,414 children and 24,228 ambulances. There are strong working links with all the clinical areas and particularly the Acute Medicine team.

You must be on the Specialist register or within six months of achieving a CCT (or equivalent) at the date of interview.
