We are offering a truly unique opportunity to be part of the implementation of a completely new clinical model for delivering mental health services for 0-25 year olds in Birmingham. Worcestershire Heath and Care NHS Trust is a major partner in this ground breaking service development known as Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB) led by Birmingham Women’s
and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust with the expertise of the Priory Group, Beacon UK and The Children’s Society.

Forward Thinking Birmingham is a new service with a vision to be the fi rst city where mental health problems are not a barrier to children, young people and young adults achieving their dreams. This includes community services and inpatient beds for 18-25s. The full transition of these services took place in a phased approach, with the full service going live on 1 April 2016.

Our mission is to exceed all expectations of what mental health services can achieve for children, young people and young adults in Birmingham by creating mental health services where there is more choice, more freedom and control about the services they receive, transforming their experience and improving their life chances - resetting the bar for generations to come.

Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust has Consultant opportunities available in – CMHT (18-25 years). You will be joining a team of Medical Staff within the FTB model of care across all our services based in 4 community hubs across Birmingham.

The successful candidates will work with multi-disciplinary teams to provide care in the community providing assessment and brief intervention for common and severe mental health disorders.
