Ladywell Liaison Unit - Lewisham Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the liaison psychiatry team
at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust with this new
substantive consultant post based at University Hospital Lewisham.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and patient centred individual,
with outstanding communication skills, who wants to make a difference to
the integration of mind and body healthcare for people in Lewisham.

The post is part of on-going expansion of services in line with NHS England
guidance that 50% of hospitals with an Emergency Department should
have ‘Core 24’ staffing in liaison psychiatry by 2020. You will be part of
a growing ‘ageless’ multidisciplinary liaison psychiatry team in Lewisham,
with specialisms in child, general adult and older adult liaison psychiatry.
As part of the Psychological Medicine and Integrated Care Clinical
Academic Group (PMIC CAG), and King’s Health Partners, the major focus
of our service is on delivering research and clinical care across mental and
physical health. We are a popular placement for international students.#
