Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Upper Limb Surgery
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a Substantive Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Upper Limb Surgery.
This is a replacement post due to retirement of the existing post holder. The successful candidate will be required to provide a comprehensive service in Upper Limb Surgery to support the two current Shoulder, Elbow & Hand specialists.
The post is based at Warwick Hospital which is a busy District General Hospital providing Trauma & Orthopaedic services to the population of South Warwickshire.
The department consists of 10 substantive Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons, one Locum Consultant and one Associate specialist. The senior team are supported by 8 Specialty Doctors, 2 Specialist Registrars, doctors in training and 3 Extended Scope Practitioners.
The role includes participating in an on-call trauma rota, regular elective operating lists, orthopaedic & fracture clinics as well as providing undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
