The Gibraltar Authority is seeking to recruit a Consultant in Accident & Emergency. Applicants must hold full registration with the UK General Medical Council, with a licence to practise and are on the Specialist Register.

The department of A&E is run by a team of eight specialty staff Grade doctors and an Associate Specialist in A&E and supported by a team of A&E nursing staff.  The Associate Specialist in A&E leads the medical team within the A&E department.  The department sees in the region of 36,000 attendances per annum and covers the broad spectrum of A&E cases, including resuscitation and trauma calls, majors and minors area, A&E clinic and plaster room facilities. The A&E department works in close partnership with all secondary care services including Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Paediatrics, ENT, Gynaecology and orthopaedics and Trauma. We are looking for a dynamic Consultant in A&E to lead the team, develop the department and provide senior clinical supervision for A&E clinical staff. The post will be single-handed and will not require on-call availability.

The above appointment is offered on contract term for an initial period of two years. Salary, dependent on experience ranges from £107,777 to £132,984 per annum. Working hours are from 9am – 5pm.
