Capital and Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) is currently seeking a part time (21 hours per week) Respiratory Physician to join the existing team.
The Respiratory service provides secondary and tertiary inpatient services for the local and greater regional population of 1.1 million people across the lower North Island.
The new Wellington Regional Hospital is a state of the art facility which was commissioned fully in 2009. It is centrally located in Wellington and is collocated with the Otago Medical School.
As our successful candidate, you will have proven skills and experience in Respiratory Medicine. The successful applicant will undertake clinical duties including general respiratory medicine, bronchoscopy and participate in the monthly CF clinic. Role expectations include an on call component with associated inpatient responsibilities also there is an expectation that the applicant in time will also contribute to the delivery of sub-regional services.

To be eligible to apply for this role you will need to have relevant experience, be registered or eligible for vocational registration as a Medical Specialist with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Registration and relocation assistance will be provided for the successful applicant.
The FTE available is part-time, however additional FTE may be available to a suitable candidate within the Department of General Medicine at CCDHB or Respiratory Medicine at Hutt Valley DHB, which is 20km away.
