The Medical Faculty at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn is offering a

W2 university professorship in Transplant Surgery

The applicant should have outstanding training in the area of visceral transplant surgery (liver, pancreas, and kidney). Experience in paediatric transplant surgery is an advantage. The professorship is part of the Clinic for General, Visceral, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. 

Tasks will include representing the department through research and teaching.

Employment requirements include outstanding research achievements in the area of transplant research, experience in managing a scientific working group and actively acquiring third-party funding, and a postdoctoral thesis (Habilitation) or equivalent research project as per § 36 Higher Education Act NRW. Connections with the existing research associations in the Faculty of Medicine are desirable.
