Post-CCT Urology Fellow in Stone Disease

Full Time – 40 hours per week. Fixed Term – 1 year
We are looking for a flexible, hardworking and dedicated urologist to undertake this exciting new role in the urology department at Guys’ and St Thomas’ Hospitals. It is designed for a trainee who wants to improve their training in highly specialised urology. The position will allow you to develop advanced skills in stone surgery.
You will have already have good core skills in Urology as well as intermediate to advanced skills in ureteroscopy and will be keen to develop your specialist surgical skills in PCNL working alongside Consultant Surgeons.
The stone unit operates in a dedicated operating theatre 5 days per week. You will have the opportunity to be involved with specialised cystinuria and paediatric services.
You will also work alongside the Urology Consultant teams undertaking clinics and ward rounds to ensure specialist care of outpatients and inpatients in the Urology Centre. There will opportunity to be involved in clinical research during the placement. On-call will be on the specialist registrar rota. This post will be fixed term for 12 months.
