Clinical Research Fellow

The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade CL7. The salary range will be £34,594 – £43,070 per annum depending on skills and experience, inclusive of London Allowance.

Applicants are invited for a Clinical Research Fellowship at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. Candidates for this Clinical Research Fellowship will register for a PhD at UCL ICH GOS and will apply for an honorary contract at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. The aim of the appointment is to provide surgical trainees with an opportunity to gain research skills, prepare research-based publications, and achieve a PhD degree. 

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in clinical research and aspirations of becoming a clinical academic. The post is available for 36 months in the first instance. 

MB BS or equivalent primary medical qualification. Willingness to develop and pursue to completion a research project in any area of surgery relevant to paediatric practice. Ability to contribute intellectually to the development and conduct of the research project.
