Consultant In Clinical Oncology
Applications are invited for a post as Consultant in Clinical Oncology to join the Cancer Directorate at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. This is a full-time post to support the Head and Neck and Colorectal service at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Cancer Centre at Addenbrooke’s serves a core population of 1.3 million, with an extended catchment area of 2-4 million for rare tumours. Its radiotherapy facilities include eight linear accelerators (including 4 Elekta Agility machines, 2 TomoTherapy Hi-Art units and 2 Varian True-Beam with Novalis Radiosurgery platform - to be installed 2016/7). We have one of the highest access rates to IMRT and IGRT in the UK. We have a national and international profile in radiotherapy research and education, as well as surgery and translational research.
Applicants are required to be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013).
