Medical Director for Primary Care And Digital Transformation
NHS England seeks to appoint a clinical leader in London to provide clinical leadership in the delivery of the Five Year Forward View and Better Health for London with a particular focus on primary care, digital and information transformation.
The publication of the Next Steps in the Five Year Forward View set out a compelling vision of an NHS built around the needs of people and populations and not their institutions. Underpinning this strategy, the General Practice Forward View and Personalised Health and Care 2020 (2014) sets out a vision for primary care, technology and data to transform the way we deliver services.
The post holder will work with the Digital, Patient and Information and Transforming Primary Care directorates and support the partnership of clinicians and organisations in STPs which are the vehicle by which the vision of the Five Year Forward View will be delivered in the context of a global city.
The post forms a key part of a friendly and dynamic regional clinical leadership team, working alongside the area medical directors, medical director for specialised commissioning, network and Healthy London Partnership (HLP) Clinical Directors.
Applications are not restricted to general practitioners but extensive experience of working in and alongside primary care is a requirement.
For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Dr Vin Diwakar, Regional Medical Director on 0113 80 70830 or at email@example.com or please apply by clicking the apply button. Closing date: Sunday 7th May 2017.
