Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry – Adult Neurodevelopmental Service (ANS)

Applicants are invited to apply for a post available as a Consultant Psychiatrist with Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The vacancy is a new post which has been created through service development. 

We are seeking a high calibre candidate who will be able to work in the exciting new adult neurodevelopmental service, which concentrates on diagnosing Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and diagnosing and initiating treatment in ADHD. 

The Trust delivers mental health care across the age range from childhood to Older Adults, and has a range of core and specialist services. It covers two well defined geographical areas; one is Dudley and the other is Walsall.

There is a strong commitment to delivering excellent services, and encouraging career development for the medical workforce. It is a teaching trust providing training for medical undergraduates from Birmingham University and post graduate training as part of the School of Psychiatry, West Midlands Deanery. 

Experience in assessing/managing adult patients with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and ADHD is essential. Candidates should have Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification. All candidates must possess Section 12 Approval and full GMC registration.
