Midlands Medical Partnership (MMP) is a Birmingham super-partnership currently caring for 71,000 Birmingham Cross-City CCG patients across North and South Birmingham operating out of 12 sites. The partnership was established in April 2009 and continues to grow as a single integrated primary care provider, alongside collaborative working with other similar organisations in our region as part of its strategic forward view.

This dynamic partnership, which has recently been inspected and rated “Outstanding” by CQC, has a a team of over 200 clinicians and staff, with a fully integrated IT system with centralised organisational functions, strong leadership and clinical governance structures. The ambition and vision of the partnership is to provide large scale, integrated, multi-specialty care for its patients. Most of our sites are training practices and training in areas of special interest is greatly supported.
MMP’s vision and strategy has several main objectives:
- Positive feedback from patients and carers around extended access, multiple site services and combined health record.
- Working as a team providing safe, secure, lifelong learning for the team.
- Coordinated central management for the clear and robust governance of the organisational structure.
Alongside SGP duties, the successful candidate will be leading on active site management. The role includes taking leadership of the site in conjunction with Team Leaders to facilitate the smooth running of the Practice and relevant procedures. The Lead GP will oversee QOF, the GSF register, LES’s/ DES’s and other target driven work. The Lead GP will also be responsible for contingency and management of the site to ensure effective provision of patient care. The successful candidate will work with and under the guidance of a mentoring Partner. The role may be required at times to work in conjunction/ collaboration with the Central Management Team to ensure the effective operation of the business.
