Senior Fellow in Prostate Cancer
The post will involve a mix of training, service support and non-clinical work.
Training will be available for robotic prostatectomy following a standardised training model, prior experience of prostate biopsy will be expected.
Training in the use of MRI-ultrasound fusion biopsy will be provided, along with training in high intensity focussed ultrasound and prostate cryotherapy. This will include spending time with the renal cryoablation team who have vast experience in the use of this technique. The post holder will deliver prostate biopsy sessions, support the oncology team with HDR prostate brachytherapy needle implants and see patients in the prostate cancer clinic.
