SHO Training Rotations in Specialist, Acute & Intensive Care Medicine
Fixed Term – 1 Year
The Trust is recruiting to Trust Trainee rotations including emergency medicine, acute medicine, medical specialties (including infectious diseases, respiratory, gastroenterology, endocrinology, rheumatology, haematology, care the elderly and oncology) and intensive care. Each rotation will be 12 months duration and include 3 four month posts.
While not London Deanery funded Core Medical Training rotations, these will all be training posts with full educational and clinical supervision. All trainees will be enrolled onto the Royal College of Physicians e-Portfolio (Foundation or CMT) and be entitled to study leave. The trust’s PACES teaching and ‘medical SHO procedures course’ will be available to all trainees.
Trainees will have the opportunity to achieve sign off for Alternative Certificate for Foundation Competence (for F2) or Alternative Certificate of Core Competence (for CMT) depending on their stage of training and performance. The available rotations are listed in the job description.
Successful applicants will be ranked and matched to their preferred rotations accordingly.

• GMC registration
• At least one year’s medical experience at F1 level or above
• Sound general medical knowledge
• Sound communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary healthcare team
• Keen to learn and train in busy Major Acute Hospital
