Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive Consultant post in Rehabilitation Medicine, based at the NHS designated Level 1 Rehabilitation Centre Walkergate Park in Newcastle upon Tyne.
We are part of NTW Foundation Trust, one of the largest mental health & disability Trusts in the country & rated outstanding by the CQC.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, flexible individual to join our team in delivering comprehensive high quality rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will join five established consultants & an experienced multidisciplinary team in an active & progressive environment. They will work to enhance & develop local & regional rehabilitation services in the North East, playing a major role in developing the inpatient & outpatient services.
We have close links & excellent working relationships with our neuropsychiatry colleagues, whose inpatient services are based on the same site, and neurologists in the acute services.
We are also involved in implementing rehabilitation within the major trauma centre.
There are opportunities for involvement in teaching, audit & postgraduate education.
The Trust has a Research & Development strategy & is an active participant in local & national Clinical Research Networks.
The post is full time (10 programmed activities/week), flexible working will be considered.
Applicants must be registered as a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine on the GMC Specialist Register or a trainee within six months of completing their CCT or on the GMC specialist register through CESR or European Community Rights at the time of application.
