Be a part of something special

In the heart of Yorkshire

Every one of our 8000 staff at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust plays a vital role in providing quality care to thousands of people living across Wakefield and North Kirklees each year

We’re proud to say that our hard working, talented and dynamic workforce is our greatest asset. If you are a dynamic, innovative forward thinking clinician
who would like to make a significant contribution to the Trust then you could become part of the team.

We can offer a supportive working environment - in first class facilities - where excellence and innovation is valued and celebrated; by providing
excellent training and development opportunities, and by offering a comprehensive package of staff benefits. The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is a large multi-site Trust and we are completing the final stages of our ambitious programme to reconfigure services in line with leading national and international care delivery models.

If this sounds like something that you would like to be part of then the following roles may be perfect for you.

Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield
Pontefract Hospital, Pontefract
Dewsbury and District Hospital, Dewsbury

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and motivated consultant in pain medicine and anaesthetics (10 PA) to join our innovative department at an exciting time in our Trust’s future.

The pain medicine specialty currently consists of five consultant anaesthetists and you would work alongside our team of pain nurses, physiotherapists, and
psychologists, with administrative support.

Current service provisions include; a new non-face-to-face telephone advice clinic, self-help guidance and support, TENS machine loan and advice, pain management physiotherapy, pain medications management (including
opiate therapy), psychological support and spinal injection interventions.

There is an opportunity to develop the service based at Dewsbury to increase capacity and build a more streamlined department, whilst developing individual interests. Across the Trust we are looking to become more
integrated with community services to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

For further information please contact Dr P Colling, Consultant Anaesthetist or Dr J Yarwood, Consultant Anaesthetist on 01924 542459.

Closing Date: 19 May 2017.
