Applications are invited for two energetic and enthusiastic consultant psychiatrists to provide clinical leadership and psychiatric expertise to our developing Primary Care Mental Health Services. These are posts funded by the Clinical Commissioning Groups in Ealing and Hounslow.
The successful applicants will be based mainly in primary care settings within the Ealing and Hounslow sites and will join evolving multidisciplinary teams. They will provide early, easy access to advice for primary care staff in a liaison/consultation model. They will also have a role in the management of a smaller number of more complex cases, to offer assessment and more direct input in particular in risk management. They will liaise closely with the Single Point of Access (SPA) and Borough based Recovery Teams to facilitate smooth transitions into and out of secondary care. Key working relationships will be with the CCG mental health leads, GPs, SPA, Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams (CRHTT), Early Intervention Teams and Recovery Teams.
The successful candidates will have at least 5 years experience of working in mental health, have good communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to community care for people with mental illness, and be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and flexibly with a multi professional team.
Candidates should be a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent), and have their CCT or be eligible for inclusion on specialist registrar.
Both posts will report directly to the Clinical Director and Service Manager.

The Salary range will be £76,761 - £103,490 per annum plus London Weighting of £2,162 per annum.
