A post has become available in Southampton’s Central Community Mental health Team. Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust (Named as one of the 100 best places to work in the NHS by the Health Service Journal in 2015) is one of the largest providers of mental health, learning disability, social care and community services in the country. Our aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and independence of every single person we care for by providing the best outcomes and the best patient experience in the most cost effective way.
The role itself would be a part of the central Southampton Community mental health team, a well-established, multidisciplinary team, and be involved with leadership in the team. The post has plenty of opportunity to develop interests including research and teaching.
Southampton is a city of 253,651 located on the South Coast of the UK, close to areas of outstanding natural beauty such as the New Forest and South Downs National park, yet still only an hour and a half from London. Southampton has a long maritime history and coastal activities such as sailing etc are popular, it also boasts a wide range of leisure facilities, restaurants and shops. The city itself is a mixture of affluence, pockets of significant deprivation as well as large student population from its two universities.
